A phone that looks secure is a phone that gets noticed. A custom boot logo, a shield-themed launcher, or an unfamiliar settings menu tells a border agent, an employer, or a thief that this handset is worth a closer look. ThetaSecurity OS removes those markers.
What stays stock
- Boot animationThe standard Pixel animation plays at startup.
- Themes and wallpapersDefault Google and Pixel themes, colors, and wallpapers.
- Interface chromeStatus bar, quick settings, lock screen, and launcher look like a retail Pixel.
- No security brandingNo shield icon, no “secure phone” app name, and no Theta logo on the home screen.
Where the defenses show
Sentinel alerts arrive as ordinary notifications, visible only to the person holding the unlocked phone. The vault, the detectors, and the tripwires run as system services with no launcher icon. Someone glancing at the screen, or scrolling the home screen, sees a normal phone.
The one hardware notice
At power-on, before the boot animation, every Pixel bootloader briefly shows its own notice when the installed system is signed with keys other than Google’s. No operating system can remove it, because it comes from the hardware. It is also useful to you: it shows the key fingerprint that proves the system is the one Theta installed. After that screen, everything is stock.
Camouflage hides the phone in plain sight. It does not replace a locked screen and a strong passphrase. If someone has the unlocked device, the screen is readable.
