Device verification

Is this handset really ours?

The purchase code is the warranty credential. With it, the check is free and can confirm warranty and free support. If the code is missing, an IMEI-only check is $3.99 and does not include either.

Dial *#06#, or open Settings › About phone. Use the first IMEI if two are shown.

Printed on the sealed handover card. It is not your invoice reference. Presenting it is what makes warranty and free support eligible.

This check asks only whether the IMEI is on our registry. It costs $3.99, including when the answer is no. It does not create a warranty, and it does not include free support.

The verdict is also kept on the invoice link. The mail does not contain that link.

A free check stores nothing about the IMEI. A paid check keeps the IMEI encrypted until the result is issued, then deletes it. The result shows only part of the IMEI.

Reading the result

Three ways to read it.

With the code

Warranty can apply.

A matching pair confirms the record, and warranty and free support follow that record. Then confirm verified boot on the handset itself.

Code missing

Listed, and nothing more.

The $3.99 check can say the IMEI is ours. It does not put the device under warranty, and it does not include free support.

No record

Treat it as foreign.

Nothing we hold matches. Do not enter a passphrase on it. A paid check that finds nothing still paid for that answer.
