Mesh emergency broadcast

Encrypted offline SOS over Bluetooth Low Energy and Wi-Fi Direct when networks are cut.

Contents

Networks fail when they are needed most. Towers get jammed, the internet gets shut off, and disasters take out power. ThetaSecurity OS can still raise an alarm.

How it works

  • Peer to peerAn SOS travels directly between nearby devices over Bluetooth Low Energy and Wi-Fi Direct. No tower, router, or server is involved.
  • RelayedEach device that receives a signal passes it on, so it can travel beyond the range of a single radio.
  • EncryptedThe message is encrypted for the contacts you choose. Relaying devices carry it, but they cannot read it.

When to use it

Cellular blackouts, signal jamming, internet kill switches, and places with no coverage. Mesh range depends on how many devices are nearby and on the terrain, so treat it as a last line of communication, not a replacement for the encrypted voice path.

Transmitting announces that a radio is present nearby. Use mesh broadcast when being heard matters more than staying silent.
